crackle.com Vaults to 8 million Unique Visitors and Launches Realtime Web-based Webcam Sharing

New Webcam Feature Simplifies Video Sharing

SAUSALITO, Calif. – May 18, 2006 – Crackle, Inc., the fastest growing destination site for user-generated video, announced today the launch of its "Video Shoutout" feature that lets webcam users post videos directly to crackle.com from the web – no software needed. Members can share their Video Shoutouts publicly with the world or privately with friends and family.

"We expect this feature to ignite a new trend of personal greetings and video messages ranging from birthday wishes to dating profiles to video blog entries," says Crackle CEO Josh Felser.

Crackle’s new webcam feature also supports adding "Video Comments" to any video on crackle.com. "Text-only comments are a thing of the past. Instant video comments are the natural evolution of a thriving social media network, like Crackle's video community. We expect to see this trend very soon on MySpace and other sites," says Crackle CTO Aviv Eyal.

Eyal added, "Expressing yourself has never been this fun and easy. Users are already embellishing video comments with costumes, props and good-spirited shenanigans."

The release of Video Shoutouts and Video Comments are the latest Crackle features to make it easy and compelling for the masses to watch, share and create video online. These webcam features for Video Shoutouts and Video Comments, combined with 1-click publishing to MySpace and Friendster, and 1-click downloads to iPod Video or your desktop, reinforce Crackle's leadership position in video sharing.

Crackle has experienced dramatic growth in the past few months and attributes it to a mix of compelling content and viral features like 1-click publishing. Crackle has just surpassed 8 million unique visitors per month who view approximately 50 million pages. Crackle has also registered more than 500,000 members, the majority of which have signed up this year.
