5000 Fingers of Dr. T., The

The only feature film actually written by Dr. Seuss.

- Dr. Seuss told a story of how one of the 150 boys used as extras in a piano scene puked on the piano while filming. This caused a chain reaction that lead to 150 vomiting boys. Seuss also said that the film's reviews were similar.

- According to producer Stanley Kramer, when the 150 extras started acting rowdy he threatened them with dismissal, many of them stood up and cheered.

- In an unfortunate parallel, the words Bart recites while making the blood oath with Mr. Zabladowski are word-for-word from the “Scout Law” of the Boy Scouts of America. (Trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, etc.)
