Action: The Series

Peter Dragon went there before Ari and the Entourage guys ever did.

- "Action" was a show known for it’s explicit nature, and while it appears in the US with bleeps, it was shown unedited both on DVD and in the UK.

- Originally broadcast on FOX TV, they only ever aired 8 episodes, and the last episode, “Lights, Camera, Action.” Ended with the death of Dragon from a heart attack.

- Joel Silver, producer of The Matrix, also produced this show, and in the first episode, Peter Dragon refers to Silver as a "fat hack" who produced Xanadu.

Synopsis:

Jay Mohr is scummy movie producer Peter Dragon. With his latest movie a bomb and his career circling the pipes he takes on a former child star turned prostitute, Illeana Douglas, as his newest creative executive. The show didn’t last long, but it managed to rope in cameos from Keanu Reeves, Salma Hayek, Sandra Bullock and more. It’s filthy, it’s chintzy, and it’s everything you love to hate about Hollywood.
