A young 12-year veteran lawyer (Al Pacino) battles not only one-on-one injustices in the courts, but the whole system as well. Story follows this attorney through several of his cases, including that of Fleming (John Forsyth) a venal, self-righteous judge accused of sadistically raping and beating a young woman.
