Cell

Raises the stakes on ultimate fighting by adding a hyper-powered drug and using it to create the ultimate soldier.

- This is a story that never stops with the twists and turns. With clues dropped all over the place, trying to figure it all out is most of the fun.

- It’s hard not to love a bad guy like David (Simon Allix). The first thing he does is present his buddy Spence with two lovely ladies. He also manages to chew the scenery and never passes up the opportunity to get rowdy and shoot up the joint.

- In the second season, you may recognize baddie Leo, that’s Joey Ansah a martial arts expert who played “Desh,” a super assassin working for the CIA who goes up against Jason Bourne in the Bourne Ultimatum.

- Belive it or not, the entire series was shot in front of a green screen, and most of what you see isn’t really there. Well, except for the Mazda RX-8. Beware those lil’ suicide doors in the back.

- Fans of cult sci-fi thriller Cube will notice the same sort of smart minimalist storytelling, the same claustrophobic adventures as Prison Break and special effects junkies will see where this production borrows from flicks like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
