- These are not the smartest kids. They say that they won the tickets by answering "Rio" to the question "What is the capital of Brazil?" From 1763 to 1960, Rio de Janeiro was the capital of Brazil. But in 1960, the city of Brasilia was made the Capital because it was in located in the center of the nation and away from the crime ridden cities. Was this a set up? Hmmmmmm.

- One of the actors in this film is horror and science fiction mainstay Jeffrey Combs ("Mr. Brooks") who was not only named "the first Lovecraftian actor" by fans of horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, plus he's played 5 different charecters in the Star Trek universe.

- Brandy was not originally intended for the role she played. Not only did she get the part but, (SPOILER) in the original plot she was supposed to meet an untimely end.
