- Mad About You is pretty much a carbon copy of Paul Reiser’s previous sitcom My Two Dads. Only instead of living with another heterosexual man to raise his pre-teen daughter, he’s married to woman and they have a dog. Yep. Pretty much a carbon copy.

- While she had been working consistently for twenty years, this was arguably Helen Hunt’s breakout role. In 1997 she won an Academy Award for her work in As Good As It Gets, while she was still starring on Mad About You.

- Mad About You is connected to two other popular sitcoms, Friends and Seinfeld. Lisa Kudrow’s reoccurring stint as Ursula Buffay is the twin sister of Phoebe Buffay, her role on Friends, while Kramer’s apartment on Seinfeld is where Paul used to live.
