- The theme song’s lyrics are sung to the tune of "Yankee Doodle." When the series aired on Cartoon Network in the 1990’s, they kept the Doodle theme, but updated it with a bit of rock and roll.

- Gary Owens was a working DJ and announcer before his voice found a home as the eponymous main character in Roger Ramjet.
