Shampoo

Warren Beatty’s open-shirted stoked sexuality makes this one of the defining films of the “me-decade”.

-The lead character was based on actual hollywood hairdresser Jay Sebring. Jay is best known as the stylist who designed The Doors' Jim Morrison's trademark free flowing hairstyle.

-Feminist Julie Christie, reportedly disliked the role of Jackie but did it for Warren Beatty, who at the time was her lover. Clearly she hadn't read "The Rules."

-This was Carrie Fisher's screen debut who went on to star in the original Star Wars as Princess Leia. She allegedly hated the "bagel bun" hair style she wore but she didn't say anything because she was afraid that director George Lucas would get angry and fire her.
