Strait-Jacket

A camp classic of over the top tension spiked with an unforgettable twist.

- Director William Castle is an misunderstood genius who gets compaired to Hitchcock repeatedly, but who mastered a very unique form of campy, quirky, horror that Hitch didn't touch.

- Joan Crawford was fresh off of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and at the hight of her acting prowess in this flick.

- Great Quotes: "Leave me alone! Leave me alone! I'm not guilty! I'm not guilty!" - Lucy Harbin (Joan crawfod)

"Their first mistake was thinking that the child was asleep, the second mistake was that the wife had decided to come home that night on the train." - Carol Harbin (Diane Baker)

"I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! No I didn't mean that, I love you. I hate you! " - Carol Harbin (Diane Baker)

- Years later Diane Baker would be associated with an even more sinister movie villian when she played Senator Ruth Martin in The Silence of the Lambs.

- Watch this movie for the debut performance of Lee Majors, as one of the first axe victims.

- Without the genius of William Castle we wouldn't have had directors like John Waters, or movies like Matinee.
