The Esquire Digital Man

The wizard behind Men in Black gives the low down on new high tech and low tech.

-Barry Sonnenfeld got his break as a cinematograpaher on the Coen brothers film Blood Simple.  He continued collaborating with the brothers as a cinematogrpaher on such film classics as Raising Arizona and Miller's Crossing.  Directing the high tech sci-fi comedy Men in Black gave him the street cred needed to write the column you're watching today.

 

-Esquire Magazine began in 1933 and has such distinguished contributors as Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Norman Mailer, Tim O'Brien, John Sack, Gay Talese, and Tom Wolfe.  In 2008 it was the first print publication to use Electronic Ink.

 

-The episodes provide not only insight into the world of gadgetry, but also into Barry's personal life and career as a Director/Producer. He reports from his homes in the Hamptons and Telluride, introduces us to his dog, and describes how the items on review help him keep up with the crazy world of filmmaking.
