-Barbra Streisand was originally attached to star as Laura Mars. She ended up singing the theme song "Prisoner" from this movie.

-The spec script that John Carpenter sold producers was simply entitled "Eyes".

-Man Drama. Michael Miller was hired by Jon Peters to direct this film in 1976 but was replaced by Irvin Kershner because of "creative differences".

Synopsis:
