The Raven

Classic Roger Corman directed Poe adaptation featuring an up and coming actor named Jack Nicholson.

-Edger Allen Poe didn't earn a penny from his most famous poem, "The Raven", having published it first in a newspaper for free and thereby losing any and all future copyright monies.

-Peter Lorre and Jack Nicholson were fond of ad-libbing their lines, much to the annoyance of Boris Karloff, who was working from the script.

-Jack Nicholson gave high praise to everyone on the set except one creature - The Raven. The Raven pooped on everyone, but especially liked to poop on him. He was later quoted as saying "I would look down when the Raven flew off my shoulder, and it would be covered in poop....I hated that bird."

-Vincent Price hated having the live snake draped around him for one shot of the sorcerer's duel. Only Britney Spears can pull off such things.
