Crackle, Inc., a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company, is a multi-platform video entertainment network and studio that distributes the hottest emerging talent on the web and beyond. Crackle’s addictive channels and shows reach a global audience across the Internet, in the living room, and on devices including a broad range of Sony electronics. Crackle, in on-going collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment and other leading partners, discovers and promotes the stars of tomorrow.

Crackle is a stand-alone streaming entertainment network and is a key element of Sony Pictures' video strategy for the digital age. We seek an experienced attorney to help forge the future of video entertainment on the web and drive Crackle's strategy to success. This attorney will support a wide range of Crackle's initiatives and be directly involved with Crackle's growth.

Reports to VP Legal Affairs, Corporate & Distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure, develop and produce digital entertainment content
  • Partner with a variety of companies, including media companies, distribution partners, social networks and technology companies
  • Build out its technology infrastructure
  • Work with Sony Pictures and other Sony companies to expand and promote Crackle as well as other Sony products and services. Accordingly, this attorney will negotiate and draft many types of agreements and will work closely with Crackle's executive team and Sony Pictures executives

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of sophisticated transactional experience at a top-tier major law firm and/or comparable experience with a technology company
  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • Hands-on intellectual property, technology and licensing experience
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills are essential
  • Prior high-end entertainment experience is a plus

This attorney will be based at Crackle, Inc. in San Francisco, but will travel to Sony Pictures' Culver City, CA studio regularly.
